Page Six
of our Little Airplane Building Project

On the second wing panel we bonded the cap strips to the lower side first.  Turned the wing over and bonded them to the top surface.  Here the first five ribs have the cap strips in place.

Far Right: Another view of the above.  This was much better than doing them top and bottom all at once.

The second wing half hangs waiting it's covering.

Far Right: A poor shot of the forward fuselage taking shape. Fire proof firewall in place.  Rudder pedals in place.

Cross bracing in place to stiffen up the aft edge of the "cockpit".

Far Right:  The engine mount is started.  We used the bent firewall shape to give the rudder pedals room to move.  As far as we can tell the plans don't show a firewall.

The right side view of the motor mount frame.  A solid oak filler will be inserted into the upper 2 X 2 tube.

Far Right: A better look at the rudder pedals.

And another view.

Far Right: The shape our instrument panel will have.  When it is done we may have to devote one page to a picture of it.  Having done a good bit of wood working in the past, enough to say, "we have plans".
