| The Fiberglass Cowling getting painted
Right: More of the painting process.
Top half of cowling can be removed so one does not have to pull the prop to get the rest of it off of the airplane.
Right: Close up of the piano hinge used to hold the cowling together. Note, the pin can be safety wired so it does not vibrate forward into the prop.
Just after this, (better lighting) outside shot was taken the wind blew it over scratching the soft paint. More sanding and paint touch up work. Guess it proved it's light weight. |
